Journal photo by David Rolfe -- 09/11/12 -- The WinMock Events Center in Advance, NC, hung its 30-by-50 foot U.S. flag from a ladder truck it borrowed from the Cooleemee Volunteer Fire Dept to commemorate 9/11 Tuesday. We want to make this an annual event, said managing director Tabatha Renegar,as long as we can get a fire truck. Motorists blew their car horns as they passed by the massive flag, and some stopped to take photographs. Volunteer fireman Kenneth Wheeler, tending the ladder truck, said several people stopped by who had direct links to the tragedies on 9/11. W0912_911_CEREMONY ROF
